Role-play "Genetic Engineering" (Teams with 4 people)
Imagine you are an employee in a public relations company. One of your customers is a multi-national biotechnology company. Your firm is asked to develop an advertising strategy aiming at diminishing wide-spread scepticism
against genetically engineered products. People should become more inclined to buy such products.
Your firm works in teams of 4 people who first work out proposals. Afterwards in a general meeting, the different teams present their suggestions and the assembly decides upon the right concept which is then presented to the
customer.
What the teams should keep in mind:
- Make proposals so that consumers take a more favourable attitude towards genetically engineered products and are willing to buy such products.
- Which specific target group(s) do you want to address with your adverts and commercials? Why?
- Which biotechnological products do you want to put in the foreground? Why?
- Which topics in the field of biotechnology should at best not be discussed in public? Why?
